Dr Caroline Silcock
I am an experienced, caring and compassionate Counselling Psychologist, with a passion for supporting women through their perinatal journey. As a mother of a young child myself, I understand the unique pressures that motherhood (and the struggles towards becoming a mother) can bring. I also understand just how hard it can be to reach out for help.
I have over 17 years experience working as a Psychologist across a range of settings including: primary care, secondary care, a charity providing therapy to women affected by domestic violence, and the Perinatal Mental Health service at UCLH.
I specialise in women's health and trauma: traumatic birth experience; perinatal loss (at any stage of the journey); or trauma that comes before the perinatal time, but impacts upon the pregnancy or role as parent.
I am trained in a number of different therapies and always tailor my approach to fit each individual. My main approaches are EMDR, CBT, ACT and CFT.
I currently work in private practice in Winchester. I can offer sessions in person or online.
Please contact me to discuss how I can help.
