Bringing a baby into this world is one of the bravest things any woman can do. You’re incredibly brave because what no one tells you is how traumatic the experience can be both physically and mentally and how the aftermath of such an event is not just about celebrating a new baby but about healing you too.

Your body and your brain have gone through a huge experience and it’s so important that we recognise that it’s ok to feel a mixture of emotions after the birth of your child.  You might be questioning what has happened to you or experience flashbacks, low mood, heightened anxiety, panic attacks and the thought of having another baby might be completely out of the question, but all of these things can be helped with counselling and talking therapies.

I am Naomi Marston and I am a qualified counsellor specialising in women’s maternal mental health with 27 years’ experience. I’m a member of the British Association Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Infant Loss Foundation and Chartered Management Institute.

I specialise in both talking and rewind therapies to help combat trauma, in particular birth trauma for women no matter what their birth story.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone conversation to see if I can help you and I can offer both online and face to face sessions at my practice in Kent.
